Garden Club

Each year The Garden Club of Frankfort recognizes a business, a home and a government building for efforts to improve their immediate environment.

In 2015 the award for a government building was awarded to the Administrative Offices of Frankfort Parks and Recreation located at Juniper Hill.

Pickleball in

In the summer of 1965 in Bainbridge Island, Washington, pickleball was created. Now 51 years later Pickleball has found its way to Frankfort, KY.

Pickleball is a combination of tennis, badminton and ping pong. It is played on a tennis court and instead of a shuttlecock like badminton, it uses a whiffle ball and a paddle. Sound interesting? Let’s make it a little more interesting and say we have a “kitchen” too.

On May 17, 2016 we will start our 3rd season. We will be playing at the Franklin County High School Tennis courts. We start at 6:00 in the evening.

I dare you to come out and see what all the excitement in Frankfort is all about. It’s fun, it’s exciting and most of all it’s a game for all ages. It’s a game for the young and the matured.
